Gush Katif: Gov't Promised But Never Provided
By Audrey Russo

Last summer, in an effort to appease world opposition (primarily the US), the Israeli government made 2 disgraceful moves. They first tore their citizens out of their homes and businesses and gave the land to their closest enemies. Then lied concerning provisions that were promised to the citizens they ripped from the land.
More than 8 months later, many are without permanent homes, businesses or provisions. One of the victims of the retreat, Herzl Elazri, said that he has received just a portion of his government-promised compensation payments, "but it's not anything near what we were promised. I need something to do! Our monthly expenses are very high, including buying totally new furniture and kitchen equipment, and yet I spend my days doing absolutely nothing. It's terrible for me, and it's bad for my children to see me this way."
And yet the Kadima party is planning on more pullouts...and apparently, more paltering promises. Shouldn't they be fulfilling their promises to the people, rather than make their priority catering to a bloodthirsty enemy, who can't wait to get a little closer to 'strap on on'?
It's time that the leading party be people of their word...and keep their word to the Israeli citizens that they displaced. If they don't, there may eventually be no one left to vote them in again.
For Iran, Israel's #1
(On Their Hit List, That Is)
By Audrey Russo
Have we gotten it yet? Iran wants to destroy Israel. They have said it for years, threatened it numerous times, financially support Hizbollah, one of Israel's most vicious terrorist enemy groups...and now, following the announcement that a major step towards obtaining nuclear weapons, effectively enriching uranium, had occurred...they are threatening Israel all over again...
At the opening conference supporting the "Palestinian cause", Iranian inciter Mahmoud Ahmadinejad reiterated, "Like it or not, the Zionist regime is heading toward annihilation. The Zionist regime is a rotten, dried tree that will be eliminated by one storm."
Nuclear threat? Thinking individuals know so. Israel is #1 on their hit list and we're not far behind...in case we thought we received a pass.
We better make Iran, and its promises, #1 on our list...before we're the next hit on their list.
Gaza: Satan's Sandbox
By Audrey Russo
As many of the security hawks (including ourselves) had warned, Gaza has morphed into a terrorist's toy shop...according to Yuval Diskin, head of Israel’s Shin Bet security service (equivalent to our FBI), “If before the disengagement they smuggled in 200 to 300 assault rifles a month, they are now smuggling close to 3,000!”
We really hate to say, 'We told you so' but...we did!
In a futile effort to appease the world community, Israel has now enabled its worst and closest enemies access to a prime position to accomplish their destruction. All in the name of peace...a false and nonexistent peace.
What else is in their toy box? According to Diskin, 200 RPGs (rocket-propelled grenades) and tons of explosives a month. They also smuggled in numerous anti-aircraft missiles which could pose a danger to military and civil aviation. In addition, Palestinians are creating long-range Kassam rockets capable of hitting the neighboring Israeli city of Ashkelon, which is home to a power station, an oil pipeline and a large civilian population.
So, remind me again why the Israeli government gave away the land G-d gave them? Certainly not to turn Gaza into Satan's sandbox.
We all make foolish mistakes...but this one better get corrected fast...before Ashkelon pays the price.
In Israel's Election: It's All About The Borders
By Audrey Russo
According to Merriam-Webster, a border is a boundary; something (as a line, point, or plane) that indicates or fixes a limit or extent.
Concerning a country, a border enables us to determine what territory is under the sovereignty of what people. A border determines: My land from your land, my town from your town, My state from your state. My country from your country. That border also protects democracies from totalitarian regimes and terrorist states.
One key issue in the Israeli elections is borders. And in the case of Israel...those borders are a question of their survival. There is only one party that truly grasps the truth concerning Israel's borders: Likud.
According to their platform, their desire is to maintain and strengthen lands divinely gifted to Israel. The party states, concerning the settlements:
"The Jewish communities in Judea, Samaria and Gaza are the realization of Zionist values. Settlement of the land is a clear expression of the unassailable right of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel and constitutes an important asset in the defense of the vital interests of the State of Israel. The Likud will continue to strengthen and develop these communities and will prevent their uprooting."
Relinquishing the settlements would again reduce the size of Israel and egregiously change the borders. Without proper borders, there is no defense. Without a defense, there is no Israel. The latter is the dream of the PA and the nightmare of the Jewish State.
Wise examples from Ronald Reagan and the US Republican Party's 1980 & 1984 Platforms hold true for Israel: Peace through strength.
For the sake of preserving the Jewish State, the correct and sage choice must be Likud.
And remember: Sha'alu Shalom Yirushalayim - "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, they shall prosper that love thee." Psalm 122:6
